An accomplished long-serving attorney and retired judge, Paul Seeman's legal career spanned over three decades. Leading up to his retirement, he spent four years as a judge with the Alameda County Superior Court in Oakland, California. Prior to his appointment as a judge, Mr. Seeman worked as a court commissioner presiding over the court calendar. Paul Seeman is also a member of numerous professional organizations, including the International Association of Youth and Family Judges and Magistrates.

The International Association of Youth and Family Judges and Magistrates (IAYFJM) is a global organization founded and registered in Brussels, Belgium. IAYFJM promotes and coordinates efforts to bring together judges from various countries and partners with other global associations that work to protect youth and the family. The Chronicle is a bi-annual publication of the IAYFJM that is published in English, French, and Spanish. The magazine is considered the voice of IAYFJM, as it provides a platform for debate on issues surrounding children and families around the world.
